Announcing… UK Tour MP3s!

Good news, UK fans!

One of the most common questions on the Twitter, Facebook and Forum over the course of the tour was about the band’s USB recordings that have been for sale after the shows on previous tours. Unfortunately, on this tour, the shows were not available to purchase directly after the show. The shows were recorded by the band’s crew, but they’re not looking likely to be available for public consumption just yet.

However… after gaining permission from the band, BNLUK.net is very pleased to be able to offer alternative recordings of these shows as MP3s to YOU, the reader! Best of all, they will be completely free!

Please understand that the recordings are not as professional-sounding as the ones BNL previously offered; they are audience recordings live from the front row. They are pretty good though – as long as you can put up with the cheering and whooping being a little louder than the official USBs…

Over the course of the next few days/weeks, each show will be uploaded to their page on the 2010 Show Archive. This will kick off tomorrow when the Bristol show will be up for download! (Edit: now available!) Please do not ask when any particular show will be available – there are no set dates, but rest assured they are being worked on as quickly as possible.

There are only a couple of unfortunate glitches (the Birmingham Academy show did not record – as well as a few tracks from Cambridge. Sorry about this).

As if that wasn’t cool enough…

Not only were BNL’s shows captured by our glorious device, but also many of Boothby Graffoe and Joel Plaskett‘s sets will be available too. Marvellous! They will also appear on the 2010 Show Archive pages when they are available.

Thanks again to everyone who has visited this site, especially those who were kind enough to spread the word during the tour. These MP3s are a lovely way to remind yourself of the fun had on the 2010 UK tour. Feel free to chat about these memories over on the forum. Many thanks to Michael Schumacher (no, really) from taking time out from driving (no, REALLY) to record the shows.

Shows will be offered as MP3s in zip files for free download – but donations to the site are very much welcome to cover a few of the costs. You can donate straight from the show’s page if you wish. Cheers! :)
